Where kindred spirits gather and grow
A home with fantastic pastoral views looks inward to find the sun and turns convention on its head. Rather than facing the golf course, where it would be shaded and exposed to cold fronts and golfers passing by, the pool nestles in a sun-soaked southern courtyard—protected, private, serene. One-story wings frame the light, while pocketed doors connect the interiors to the intimate inner courtyard. The north garden embraces its orientation with a recessed fire pit in an additional celebration of the elements.

Originally conceived as a home for the couple’s two daughters and their families, this new build evolved into a true multigenerational compound. A ground-floor wing was redesigned to create a private suite for the clients, anchored by ancient Bavarian doors—massive and storied, setting the tone for other fortified details, historical artifacts and collected furnishings throughout. The large, open great room is balanced with an intimate den and bar perfect for time spent together. Designing for family at this scale was delicate—done right, it deepens connection. Two decades on, their bond holds strong.
